I Dennit...and it was a scream

KILLER crimper Chrissie Watts has confessed all to the News of the World— she couldn't stop laughing when she done Den in.

Actress Tracy-Ann Oberman had a wail of a time filming the chilling scenes.

The biggest laugh came when Dirty Den star Leslie Grantham got stuck to the Queen Vic floor.

Tracy-Ann, 36, giggled: "We did lots of takes and poor Leslie was on his back for hours with fake blood all around his head.

"The liquid dried and his hair was glued to the floor. When he got up it ripped his hair out!"

Over 14 million viewers tuned in to see Chrissie bump off Den on Friday—compared to 13.5million who saw Tiffany being run over and 11.5million who witnessed Grant and Sharon's wedding.

Chrissie said: "Den destroyed women emotionally and physically, He was the ultimate toxic male. I think the whole of Britain was cheering when I whacked him."

Den finally got his comeuppance after Chrissie discovered he'd got Zoe Slater pregnant and conned the Vic out of Sam Hunter.

When the wronged women confronted him he attacked Chrissie and Zoe knocked him unconscious with a doorstop.

Vengeful Chrissie then dealt the fatal blow and put an end to Den.

Rumours had been circulating for months about whodunit and Tracy-Ann was thrilled it was her.

She said: "I begged the producers to let Chrissie do it to prove she wasn't a sap. It was a real rush for me." The actress also revealed she had modelled Chrissie on another wronged wife—Hillary Clinton.

She said: "Chrissie would never admit anything was wrong in public and it's the same with Hillary.

"Her public face was full of poise but back in the White House it was probably just like the Queen Vic!"

Chrissie becomes more like the first lady of Walford in coming weeks. But while she's in charge at the Vic, she has to hide Den's death and keep Sam and Zoe on side.

The three girls bury him in the pub cellar but, as our exclusive pic shows, Chrissie is left in turmoil.

Tracy-Ann said: "Chrissie pretends he's run off with another woman and is happy he's gone, but inside she's all over the place."

However, as she has signed a £120,000 deal to keep her in Walford till 2006, it looks like Chrissie will escape a murder rap.

And happily, Tracy-Ann's real hubby, music producer Rob Cowan, is nothing like Dirty Den.

She said: "In June we hired a yacht in Spain. Suddenly Rob dropped the anchor, opened a bottle of bubbly and said, ‘Will you marry me?' It was all very J-Lo!"
