New Pictures Soap characters who have been played by multiple actors through the years from Coronation Street’s Tracy Barlow to EastEnders’ Louise Mitchell

LEAVING a soap can be hazardous to your appearance – you might have a stranger’s face on your return.

We told yesterday how EastEnders character Ben Mitchell is set to come back to Walford.

Max Bowden,is the sixth actor to play Eastenders’ Ben Mitchell

And along with Ben’s dramatic new storyline comes an unfamiliar “boat-race” as Max Bowden, 24, becomes the SIXTH actor to play him.

Getting a new face is common in soapland – funny that the rest of the cast never notice, though.

Emma Pietras looks at others who have regenerated almost as often as Doctor Who, and one who will forever stay the same.
