YANNICK BOLASIE will return to Everton after he called time on his loan deal with Aston Villa.
The winger has only started nine games since he moved to the Championship side last summer and opted to end his deal prematurely in order to return to top-flight.
The 29-year-old expressed his desire to return to the Toffees and informed Villa of his plan to terminate the loan deal on Sunday evening.
According to the Mirror, Bolasie had a clause in his loan deal that was only valid until midnight on January 20, which was triggered by the DC Congo international.
Bolasie reportedly moved to Villa to regain his fitness after a serious knee injury, but he was growing frustrated.
He has scored twice and chalked up four assists, but believes he can now hold his own in the Premier League again.

The former Crystal Palace star hopes to force his way into Marco Silva’s side who have won just once in their last four league games.
He is under contract with Everton until 2021, but it remains to be seen if he will break into the side or be sent out on loan elsewhere.
The Merseyside club released a statement that said: “Yannick Bolasie has returned to Everton Football Club today after he exercised an option in his loan agreement with Aston Villa.”
In a statement, Aston Villa said: “The club would like to thank Yannick for his contribution to Aston Villa during his loan spell and wish him all the best in his future career.”
