How to Deal with Hard Stool

Take a deep breath and try again. Stool still inside? Every now and then you suffer from constipation just like you do now. But the inconvenience of experiencing hard stool is sometimes more than you can take. Know how you can prevent yourself from being constipated.
Constipation implies a lot of things. It could mean you need more fiber in the food you eat, both soluble and insoluble. A healthy diet is of vital importance if you want to avoid constipation. A person’s daily recommended intake of fiber should be 25-35 grams per day. Increase your portions of veggies, fruits, and whole grains. And drink plenty of water.

People’s stools change from time to time, but this doesn’t mean you shouldn’t do something when it does happen to you. Know that your stool tends to be hard when your intake of milk is above average.
Constipation often calls for laxatives, but don’t over-indulge. Overuse of laxatives contributes to the hardening of your stool.
Move around a lot. People who lead sedentary lifestyles are more prone to constipation, as well as pregnant women. Medical conditions such as hypothyroidism, diabetes, irritable bowel syndrome, and scleroderma are also related to having hard stool.
People who usually experience constipation are older folk. If constipation seems to be getting serious, it is wise to seek help from a doctor.
