EXCLUSIVE: Jealous star laughs as 'pal' who bedded wife is decked

JUDE Law's steamy wife-swap sessions sparked a bitter feud which exploded into violence as he jealously confronted rock star love rival Danny Goffey.
The drama erupted just hours after the men bedded each other's partners.
And it ended with the Supergrass drummer punched to the ground clutching a black eye—watched by Hollywood heart-throb Jude, laughing out loud at his plight.
Last Sunday the News of the World revealed how the couples' sex antics in a Greek holiday villa led to movie star Jude chasing Danny's lover Pearl Lowe—and his divorce from actress wife Sadie Frost.
Revenge
But an inside source told us this week Jude's passion for Pearl was motivated by revenge on his wife—for suggesting the swap idea in the first place.
And trouble blew up even while the four were still on their sunshine break in the summer of 2001.
After that first drunken night when sexy Sadie, 36, stripped off, sat on stunned Danny's knee and suggested musical beds, the close pals swapped several times.
Despite revelling in his side of the deal, something was riling Jude, 32. Our source said: "It was just days before they were due to fly home, there were a lot of friends at the villa and it was obvious it had all got to Jude.
"I don't think he ever said anything to Danny's face—but he talked about him behind his back. Jude told people that Danny had slept with his wife without telling them the full story.
"It all came to a head when everyone was outside, around the pool drinking. People were talking in their own little groups. But Jude and one of his mates were with Danny at the other side of the pool. There was a lot of anger. It wasn't just a pleasant chat.
"Then Jude's mate punched Danny in the face. He grabbed his eye and dropped down. But Jude just stood over him and laughed.
"Danny had the biggest black eye ever but Jude didn't care. It was obvious that he hated him—and something had triggered that. People wondered if Sadie had said Danny was better in bed or something like that. You could see Jude thought it was payback time."
Incredibly the swapping continued when the couples returned to Britain.
And last week we revealed how it wrecked Jude's marriage after Sadie discovered secret e-mails he had sent to 34-year-old Pearl—then a singer with Britpop band Powder—pursuing her and wanting an affair.
When Jude and Sadie split in 2003, she made out no one else was involved and that it was just his hunger for fame that doomed the relationship.
Last night our source insisted: "Those holiday romps might sound like fun but the fall-out ended up causing devastation for both couples."
But the friend denied reports this week that Danny and Pearl were breaking up. "Danny and Pearl went through a really difficult year after what happened but they're solid now.
"Danny is away with the group until next week. But there's no way they'll let all this split them up.
"When it happened Pearl was a real drinker and wild, a right mess. Now she's cleaned up her act she and Danny have managed to sort things out.
"But if Pearl had been any decent sort of friend to Sadie she'd have told her about Jude right at the start. Instead she didn't say a word and didn't even have the guts to apologise later.
Upset
"Their friendship has never recovered. And I don't think what went on between Jude and Danny will ever be sorted. There's so much hatred there."
The insider told us Jude is still so angry about what happened that he no longer talks to 30-year-old Danny.
It has caused a split in London's Primrose Hill jet set that includes actor Rhys Ifans and supermodel Kate Moss.
Our source said: "Jude hates Danny and makes no secret of it. He seems jealous of him in every way.
"I don't think it's just because Danny slept with Sadie, but obviously that doesn't help.
"And it did upset Jude. He'd always disliked Danny. It rankles that Danny is popular in their circle of friends.
"Jude tends to look down on people. Probably the one person he's always warm towards is Kate Moss.
"And he may be the world-famous actor but he does have a bit of a reputation as Jude Bore."
