Lee nicked
THE husband accused of beating crippled telly star Leslie Ash has been arrested again—for allegedly assaulting her sister.
Former soccer ace Lee Chapman was quizzed after Debbie Ash claimed he battered her as she tried to defend Men Behaving Badly star Leslie, 44.
Chapman's arrest comes two months after he was held over a suspected assault on his wife at their luxury west London apartment.
Mum-of-two Leslie suffered a punctured lung and broken rib—and is battling to walk properly after catching hospital superbug MSSA.
Chapman, 44, was picked up at 7am on Thursday and taken to Notting Hill police station to answer the new allegation.
The ex-Leeds striker was joined by his solicitor and denied the assault in a grilling that ended with his release at 11.30am.
Scotland Yard said: "He was bailed to return on a July date to a west London police station. An advice file has been sent to the Crown Prosecution Service."
Chapman, who owns London restaurant Teatro with Leslie, is accused of assaulting former Hot Gossip dancer Debbie, 47, in 2001.
In a statement to cops, Debbie said she was celebrating her birthday with the pair at their south-west London bar So.UK.
The sisters went back to the couple's flat and 6ft 2ins Chapman later allegedly stormed in "like a man possessed".
The mum-of-two claims he was raging at being left and hurled a heavy chair across the dining room, then a cast iron saucepan.
Chapman is then alleged to have hit his wife's head and face—before Debbie jumped in to protect her and he went "berserk".
Squeezing
Debbie claimed: "He had his hands round my head and face. He had his hands around my throat and was squeezing.
"He lifted me off the floor and threw me over the kitchen table. He still had his hands around my throat and was screaming abuse.
"Then suddenly he went very still. He was staring at me and spat in my face."
Chapman last night confirmed he had been arrested.
But his spokesman added: "He has provided a full denial and this is supported by a statement from his wife who was present at the time of the alleged incident."
Leslie has also dismissed claims she was attacked in April—blaming her injuries on "rough sex" with Chapman.
