OLE GUNNAR SOLSKJAER’S reliance on some of football’s cliched phrases highlights his inexperience in top-level management.
He has got off to a magnificent start at Manchester United, stringing together seven successive wins since replacing The Intolerable One at Old Trafford.
He admits it is “a whirlwind” and “a rollercoaster”, using those phrases to help him out when he was struggling to articulate his feelings after they beat Brighton 2-1 on Saturday.
His child-like enthusiasm for the job is endearing, but if he wants the job long-term, he will need to take a more measured, objective approach.
MAURIZIO SARRI must know the rules at Chelsea.
By bringing in his own man, a 31-year-old striker who worked with him for a year at Napoli, their stubborn head coach must get some instant results.

GOOD on Nathan Jones for out-manoeuvring Leeds manager Marcelo Bielsa to secure his first win at Stoke.
Jones had been playing a back four all season with previous club Luton and Bielsa – who claimed to have the lowdown on Stoke’s new manger – planned accordingly.
But Jones switched to a back three, working on the system under the cloak of darkness before surprising Bielsa with his new tactics.
It earned him his first win since leaving the Hatters, giving Jones a real shot of confidence during a difficult week in the chair.
After giving Bielsa the runaround, he is up and running.
