A DISGUSTED mum has shared photos of what appears to be raw chicken she says she was served at KFC in Hull.
The pictures showed a piece of red chicken served in her snack box, but KFC reckon it’s safe to eat.
The woman, who does not want to be named, captioned the pictures “OMG from KFC at Kingswood u f****** watch your food”.
The restaurant chain admits “it doesn’t look great” but insists it wasn’t undercooked.
The woman said she has tried to get in contact with KFC, and said she is not the only person to complain about the service at the Kingswood restaurant.
She said: “I have not been the first (to complain) and I don’t think I will be the last.
KFC are blind to this – my post is to warn people to look at their food.

“KFC are blind to this – my post is to warn people to look at their food.
“My husband did go back to the store and they said it was marinated not raw.
“I have gone to KFC and they have not replied, the only thing I’ve heard is them saying they will get back within five days.
The woman also claims the staff were rude.
“People have commented and you can see how many people have had bad service and this is what needs to be put right.”
Another woman said: “No way has it been marinated. It’s not cooked you can see it just from the photo.
“You should have made the manager eat it there and then.”
We know it doesn’t look great, but this is actually a natural colouration caused by the bone
KFC spokesman
One Facebook user said they had received “disgraceful” service.
She said: “Last time I went in was early last year and it was disgraceful it needs shutting down.”
However, one person claimed they believed the redness was caused by the spices used on the chicken, which in turn stains the meat.
They said: “It’s the spices they use it stains the meats. When lower quality chicken is used there tends to be blood within the bones which absorbs into the meat.”
Someone else said: “Looks fine to me and looks cooked. The reason this happens is probably down to the youngness of the chickens they use.

“Young chickens have thin and brittle bones and as such myoglobin leaks into the chicken and cartilage and looks red. It’s fine.”
A KFC spokesman said: “We know it doesn’t look great, but this is actually a natural colouration caused by the bone, rather than being undercooked. This can sometimes happen when dealing with fresh chicken.
“It’s not harmful but we are sorry for this woman’s experience and she’s more than welcome to a free meal on us next time she visits.”
