BREAK out the Bolly, dahlings ...Joanna Lumley is about to be a granny.
As coke-snorting, champagne-quaffing, chain-smoking Patsy in Ab Fab, she has had a loathe-hate relationship with Edina's daughter Saffy since she was a tot.
But in real life, Joanna, 56, is said to be "thrilled" at the thought of having a youngster in her life.
The baby—first child of Joanna's son Jamie and his wife Tessa—is due in the next few days.
Jamie's dad, photographer Michael Claydon, 59, said last night: "It's wonderful news, the whole family is really happy.
"They are a delightful couple and I'm looking forward to hearing the news that Tessa has given birth. The baby is due any day now and we are all very excited. It's really great news."
Joanna, who is now married to the conductor Stephen Barlow, kept the identity of Jamie's dad secret for years to protect him from publicity. But in 1997 Jamie proudly revealed the truth in a News of the World exclusive.
Jamie married Tessa, his second wife, last year. A family friend said: "Joanna is really excited about becoming a granny.
"She's been telling friends she can't wait for the birth.
"Although being a granny is the last thing you would associate with Joanna, I think she'll make a really cool and glamorous gran."
