BNP Paribas
Held at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden in the desert of southern California, the BNP Paribas is scheduled for March 4-17. Next to the Grand Slams, the BNP is the largest combined ATP World Tour and WTA. Featuring 23 sessions over two weeks of competition (not including the qualifying), the top men and women compete for $9 million in prize money in front of 370,000 enthusiastic fans. This year, Novak Djokovic, Andy Murray, Roger Federer, Li Na, Caroline Wozniacki and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga are among the scheduled players. BNP Paribas Open Tickets are already on sale.
Sony Ericsson Open
For the 29th consecutive year, the Sony Ericsson Open will be held at Crandon Park Tennis in Miami, Florida. Running March 18-31, top players like Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova will compete for one of the world's most coveted wins. In addition to the world-class tennis action, spectators will get the treat of live musical entertainment, fashion shows, fine food and more. Last year's event drew 226,000 guests and organizers expect this year to bring even more, since competition is so tough.
French Open: Rolland Garros
Scheduled for May 26 through June 9, the event is held just outside Paris. Aside from featuring the top professional men and women tennis players from around the world, the French Open is a city-wide festival with fun for all ages. Organizers have secured 62,000 balls for the event. Players draw to determine match ups on the Friday of qualifying week at 11:30 a.m. Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, Andy Murray, Victoria Azarenka, Maria Sharapova and Li Na are scheduled to play.
Wimbledon
Wimbledon 2013 kicks off June 24 and runs through July 7, featuring some of the world's most exciting players. Novack Djokovic, Victoria Azarenka, Andy Murray, Philipp Kohlschrei, Jerzy Janowicz, John Isner, Milos Raonic and many others will compete for the third of four Grand Slam major events at the storied All England Club in London. U.S. Open
Held at the Arthur Ashe stadium in New York City August 26 through September 9, the U.S. Open offers almost $2 million in prize money, making it lucrative for the players. But the money also serves to encourage players to give their best - wanting to take the prize along with the prestige, bragging rights and a place in history. No official players list has been uploaded to the US Open website, but there's no doubt it will attract the world's best players, as always.
