THE first man to bed Voice of an Angel superstar Charlotte Church last night opened his heart on their explosive two-year fling.
In his first newspaper interview male model Steven Johnson told the News of the World all the secrets of the searing PASSION, insane JEALOUSY and fieryBUST-UPS that peppered their high-profile affair.
Steven revealed how, at just 16, love-hungry Charlotte ached for him so much she'd stage daredevil rooftop flits from her disapproving parents' £750,000 home—to cuddle up in bed at his terraced house in Cardiff's tough dock area.
"At 10 or 11 at night she'd climb from one of her bedroom skylights out onto the roof," said 19-year-old Steven.
"Then, still in her pyjamas but with a coat on top, she shinned down a drainpipe and got a taxi to my place. She'd grab another cab in the morning and be home by eight!

"It was pretty dangerous because Charlotte's room was three floors up—if she'd slipped in the dark she'd have been in trouble.
"But she found it really exciting and just wanted to be with me. She said, ‘If my mum knew about this she'd kill me!'"
Party
The teenagers' fairytale romance began at her 16th birthday party in February 2002 after they were introduced by friends.
But the love story soon hit problems—millionairess Charlotte's mum Maria and stepdad James.
Steven said they hated him so much they eventually issued their daughter with an ultimatum—"It's him or us!" And Charlotte voted with her feet.
"Charlotte ran away from home because she was sick of her family and the way they wouldn't accept me," explained Steven.
"It was so frustrating. I wasn't a bad-boy tearaway. I've never been in trouble but they wouldn't give us a chance.
"Charlotte's relatives put her through hell and would scream down the phone at her ‘Go on, run off to that black bastard!'
"So she put all her stuff in bin liners and moved in with me and my dad George."
It was there, four months into the relationship, that Steven finally took the songbird's virginity in his upstairs bedroom.
Recalling that night, Charlotte later declared: "It was fantastic!"
Steven told us how the big moment came after they first declared true love for each other.
"We'd had a nice day together," he said. "And Charlotte just turned to me and said, ‘I love you Stevie.' I told her the same back.
"It was so exciting. It was special. We were so happy. We even discussed getting married and having children, we were that serious."

Steven enjoyed the perks of Charlotte's amazing career, flying around the world, staying at top hotels and mixing with celebrities.
"I was so proud standing backstage watching Charlotte perform for thousands of people," he told us. "I used to think to myself, ‘That's my girlfriend!' She was awesome."
But there was still trouble back home. "Charlottte's mum would lay it on thick, putting huge pressure on her to leave me," said Steven.
But there was still trouble back home. "Charlottte's mum would lay it on thick, putting huge pressure on her to leave me," said Steven.
"She threatened to harm herself and even take her own life if Charlotte didn't dump me. Maria said Charlotte had brought shame on their family.
"Charlotte got really upset and once reminded her mum who'd actually bought the house they lived in.

"They didn't see each other for a year. It was terrible for Charlotte. Sometimes she'd cry herself to sleep."
Charlotte's management company eventually sorted out a house for her and, after the youngsters moved in, Maria started visiting.
But now Steven was the one under pressure. "I wasn't happy there because I heard there were people out to hurt me unless I left Charlotte," he said. "I was genuinely scared."
Then last year the lovers moved into a swanky £450,000 waterside apartment. It should have been bliss. But Steven said insecurity and jealousy began to plague Charlotte.
"My modelling career was starting to take off but I don't think Charlotte liked me getting any exposure," he added.
"And if she found out there were other women at my photo-shoots it was a nightmare. She'd either come along with me or be phoning and texting my mobile constantly. One ridiculous night she even barred me from meeting Christina Aguilera.
"She was staying at the same hotel as us in London and wanted to have a drink with us.
"But Charlotte put a stop to it because she thought I might fancy Christina, or the other way around.
"Charlotte said, ‘I don't want to meet her, I'm not bothered—and I don't want you to meet her either!'
Slapped
"Another night at Trap night club in London I spotted a cousin I hadn't seen for years. Charlotte came with me and I introduced my cousin by name—but didn't say we were related. When I kissed her on the cheek Charlotte stormed off.
"I followed and she slapped me, demanding, ‘Who's that girl you're kissing?" I tried to explain but she wouldn't listen."
The rows climaxed in a final bout of violence last November—over reports that Steven had kissed an air hostess in a Cardiff club. "It was rubbish," insisted Steven. "But when I got back to the apartment Charlotte confronted me.
"She flew into a rage, her face was red and her eyes were bulging, I couldn't believe how angry she was.
"She started slapping me about the head and face. These were proper hard slaps and she was screaming, ‘I can't believe you've done this to me! I hate you!'
"There was no reasoning with her. I couldn't believe she fell for this nonsense. It went on for an hour until I couldn't take any more and left."
A month later we revealed Charlotte had a new love—Kyle Johnson, 19—who joined in her 18th birthday celebrations when she gained control of her £5.5million fortune.
And last week we told how the singer has penned a special revenge track, devoted to her ex, for her new album, due out this summer.
Despite that Steven told us: "I did love Charlotte. But in the end it was a nightmare. I just couldn't cope with her moods and jealousy. I'm glad I'm out of it."
