Before everybody starts to get busy again, you’re thinking now is a perfect time to plan another family vacation. It’s been months since you went out with the whole clan and you can use the quality time to strengthen bonds and family ties. One of the more extraordinary, adventurous and not to mention costly activity is going on a cruise. Here are tips that can guide you so you can make some necessary preparations for a cruise vacation.
Seek out a detailed description or amenities list of the cabin you’re getting. The purpose of this is for you to (A) know what you don’t have to bring, and (B) so you’ll know what you HAVE to bring.
Does anyone in the family have a medical condition? If so, bring specific medication (with prescription, of course). This is a good precaution because it will be a great trouble if you had an attack while out to sea and no medication is on board.
Can the baby swim in the pool? Probably not if your baby isn’t potty-trained. Also, consider that you might be baby-sitting a lot since you can’t just leave your kid on his own on a cruise ship. Buy a life-jacket for your baby so you can take him along on boat rides and other beach activities.
Bring enough cash. Aside from the souvenirs, you might need cash for extra food, service, or emergencies.
Plan ahead, and discuss safety measures with everyone before you board the ship. You need everyone to cooperate on making sure that no one (at least not in your family) meets an accident. So listen up during the safety lecture so you’ll know where your lifejacket is.
Research about the weather forecasting so you’ll know if your cruise will go smoothly.
