GORGEOUS JODIE MARSH is devastated after being dumped by nightclub boss FRAN COSGROVE.

The Essex Wives star had dreamed of becoming a bride herself and just weeks ago predicted he'd propose by Christmas.

But on Thursday, Fran decided to call the whole thing off and she reluctantly agreed their four-month romance was over.

Jodie, 24, sobbed: "There was nothing we could do about it—it just wasn't working. It was basically a mutual thing in the end."

She blamed their mad work schedules. Fran owns trendy Trap nightclub in London and Jodie is busy with TV work.

She said: "We just couldn't cope with going out with each other any longer. It was just getting too stressful.

"It is really upsetting but I don't think there is any chance of us getting back together again. I don't even think we will be able to sit down and talk it through.

"He was working all night at the club and I'm just so busy with TV work and have been away a lot."

Jodie put on a brave face and went out partying with her girlfriends this weekend in a bid to put the failed romance behind her.

"My friends have been wicked trying to cheer me up," she said.

She and Fran, 25, had seemed their usual loved-up selves when they attended Wednesday's premiere of Spun, starring Mickey Rourke and Mena Suvari.

Fran, who was engaged to Atomic Kitten star NATASHA HAMILTON and is the father of her son Josh, partied with Jodie at the after-show bash and they were happy to cuddle up for the cameras.

But by Friday the relationship was off and a fragile Jodie hit the West End partying at Prive nightclub.

It didn't take long for the skimpily-clad model to find a hot mystery man willing to give her a shoulder to cry on.

It was all very different last month, when she gushed: "Fran and I are so loved up. We've talked about marriage and he says he'll propose by Christmas. I can see us starting a family.

"I want three girls and a boy—so the boy can look after the girls."

Cracks in the relationship started to show two weeks ago when they were in Glasgow, where Jodie was doing promotional work.

Jodie revealed the couple hadn't had sex for six weeks and Fran admitted: "Jodie isn't going to give me a minute's peace.

"I've been up to my neck in work recently."
