SUNDAY: Weight gain—2lb; alcohol units—10; cigs—21; womenkissed...1.
Yep, you saw it here first, folks! Britain's most famous singleton has swapped Darcy for Marcy in the sequel to Bridget Jones's Diary.
And what's more, actresses Renée Zellweger and Jacinda Barrett needed an astonishing EIGHT takes to get the same-sex smacker right.
A film insider said: "They were very nervous about sharing their first kiss, but they were total professionals.
Gorgeous
"They also received a lot of support from the crew—most of whom were male and most of whom grew more and more supportive as the take count climbed ever higher."
Chardonnay-swigging Bridget frets herself into the arms of a woman when she suspects boyfriend Darcy fancies his legal trainee in the new flick Bridget Jones: The Edge Of Reason.
But, as usual, Bridget has got hold of the wrong end of the stick—and finds herself batting for the other side on a doorstep in leafy Richmond, in south-west London.
Australian actress Jacinda, who plays Rebecca—a girl who likes her briefs frilly—laughed: "It was a very funny scene.
"My character works with Darcy and Bridget becomes obsessed, in the way Bridget does. She thinks Rebecca and Darcy are having an affair and that Rebecca's right for him in every way she isn't—she's the same height, has the same hair colour and comes from a similar family."
And, as our exclusive pictures show, the other similarity is that Rebecca and Darcy—actor Colin Firth—share a healthy interest in the ladies.
Our insider added: "It was pure fantasy watching these two sexy, gorgeous women making out."
The Edge Of Reason hits the big screen next month and also sees super-smoothie Hugh Grant back as devilish cad Daniel Cleaver.
Although he tries to worm his way back into Bridget's affections, he comes a cropper when he dallies with a hooker.
Which really has to be Divine inspirationfrom the scriptwriters!
