More Simple Ways to De-stress

 Most people take stress for granted. They even go as far as considering stress a given in their fast-paced lives. But stress is a killer and when we overwork our bodies, the payback is often more than we can handle.

When you’re feeling over-worked, it’s time for you to stop and rest. Knowing when to relax can save you from a lot of complications. 

Been reading a report the whole day? Why not spend an hour on the living room watching your favorite show? Tune in to no-brainer sitcoms or cartoons.
Breathe in and breathe out slowly for about 10 minutes. Stress affects your emotions and increases your tendency towards anger and irritability. By forcing yourself to take long and deep breaths, you are calming yourself down.
Learn yoga. Do yoga whenever you feel like you’re beginning to feel stressed out. Just like acupuncture, yoga can give soothing and calming effects so you can greatly reduce mental stress. Listen to classical music while you unwind. You can also do tai-chi in your garden. Moving yourself from your desk to another environment will have a good effect to your mood.
Get a massage. Drive yourself to the nearest spa and have a quick massage to release the tension on your back and neck.
Have a chitchat. Call someone you love to talk to and have a chat for a few minutes. Talking about something fun will liven up your mood and will freshen up your senses.
